Are you participating in the Demand Flexibility Service?

If you’re participating in the Demand Flexibility Service you need to associate the NGC BM Units that you have been provided by the National Grid Electricity System Operator with your Base Supplier BM Units.

What do you need to do?

If you’re participating in the Demand Flexibility Service you need to associate the NGC BM Units that you have been provided by the National Grid Electricity System Operator with your Base Supplier BM Units.

You can do this through the Elexon Kinnect Customer Solution, or by following the below steps:

  • Submit a BSCP15/4.1
  • Tick the “a change in status of a Primary BM Unit’s FPN Flag” box on page 1

Then add the detail for each affected Base BMU on page 2 as follows:

  • Primary BM Unit ID: Current Base BM Unit ID
  • Primary BM Unit Name (max 30 characters): Current Base BM Unit Name
  • NGC BM Unit ID: New NGC BM Unit
  • BM Unit Type: G
  • Primary BM Unit Configuration: BB
  • GSP Group ID: Current GSP Group ID
  • GC (MW): Current GC
  • DC (MW): Current DC
  • Interconnector Primary BM Unit P/C Flag: N/A
  • FPN Flag (Y/N): Y
  • Exempt Export (optional): [leave blank]
  • Interconnector ID: N/A
  • EFD (effective from date): The date of the change of FPN – this must be a future date

How can I find my current BM Unit details?

Current BM Unit details can be found on either the:

  • Elexon Portal > Operational Data > Registration Information > Registered BM Units
  • Elexon Kinnect Customer Solution

Alternatively, Elexon can provide the details.
