Consultations on BSC and codes
This page lists all Consultations relating to the BSC and other related codes. The consultations allow ELEXON to gather feedback from the industry about proposed changes so that any concerns are considered as part of our processes.
P369 proposes to modify the Balancing Settlement Code (BSC) to reflect the creation of a new National Grid Electricity System Operator (NGESO) that is legally separate from National Grid Electricity Transmission Limited (NGET). Further information can be found on the P369 webpage.
This is the P369 Report Phase Consultation, whereby industry views are requested in respect of the BSC Panel’s initial recommendations on the Modification.
As part of the Energy Codes Governance Review, concluded in December 2010, Ofgem proposed that Code Administrators set up a Code of Practice to facilitate transparency in Code Modification processes and help protect the interests of small market participants and consumers through various means. The CACOP puts forwards principles for Code Administrators to follow, but also sets out principles applicable to a Code Modification process.
Principle 4 of the CACOP states that ‘This Code of Practice will be reviewed periodically and subject to amendment by Users’. As part of this annual review process, we invite your views on the CACOP to feed back to the annual Code Administration Review meeting in October 2014.
Please send your response to firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday 4 September 2014, so we can discuss these at the Annual Review meeting in early October 2014 with the aim of improving the service we provide.
