IT Notices: Planned infrastructure maintenance on BSC Central Systems on 14 July 2021
There will be a period of planned downtime on the Balancing Mechanism Reporting System (BMRS) on Wednesday 14 July between 20:00 (BST) and 23:00 (BST); this is required for infrastructure maintenance. The outage also affects users of the Energy Contract Volume Aggregation Agent (ECVAA) Web Service.
How will I be impacted?
During the outage window, BMRS will not publish any data received from National Grid ESO or REMIT data from the Elexon Portal. The BMRS Website, APIs, TIBCO and Data Push Service will be updated with latest data set during this outage window.
Please note that you can continue to submit REMIT data via the Elexon Portal during this planned downtime, where the data will be accepted, queued and sent in sequence, however publication of these files will be delayed by this planned downtime.
During this outage the ECVAA Web Service (EWS) will have intermittent service.
Is there anything else I need to know?
This issue is only impacting the ECVAA Web Service, the ECVAA system continues to process Volume Notifications and send Acknowledgements and Negative Acknowledgements and ECVAA reports as expected.
Do I need to take any further action?
You do not need to take any specific action and we will perform system checks following completion of the work.
