Webinar on the Insights Solution data service and switching off BMRS
Elexon has now completed development of the Insights Solution, our new wholesale market data service which replaces the legacy Balancing Mechanism Reporting Service (BMRS).
The Insights Solution is part of Elexon Kinnect, our new platform. It uses cloud technology to deliver a more visual, granular and customisable data service to meet the needs of users.
The Insights Solution is a direct replacement for all BMRS endpoints, and we will switch off the BMRS completely on 31 May 2024.
On 9 May from 14:00 to 15:00 we will host a webinar to showcase the Insights Solution to users.

The webinar will cover:
- An explanation of the wholesale market data that Elexon has available and where this data comes from.
- The data flows and features of the Insights Solution, and the improvements we’ve made to the service compared with the BMRS
- How to sign up to (and use) the Insights Real-Time Information Service (IRIS) service which supplies instant updates on all Insights Solution data sets
- Opportunities for questions and answers with our Analysis and Insights team, which is delivering the Insights Solution.
