Glossary Term: Central Management Systems (CMS) Test Agent
All new CMS are required by BSCP520 to be approved by the BSC Panel or its delegated authority, the Supplier Volume Allocation Group (SVG). The initial expression of an intention to apply for approval of the CMS is made to BSCCo. Elexon will provide applicants with a test specification and will agree a test schedule and give expected timescales for the approval process.
The testing will be carried out by a CMS Test Agent appointed by the applicant.
The CMS Test Agent (a Meter Administrator) needs to be approved by the BSCCo to witness the tests and prepare a test evidence report.

CMS Test Agent means a Meter Administrator appointed to carry out testing of a CMS in accordance with the relevant test specification.
