Glossary Term: Central Management Systems (CMS)

Acronym: CMS

Central Management Systems (CMS), also known as telemanagement, refers to remote dynamic street lighting control. Using a CMS, the operator can choose exactly when to switch each individual street light on or off and/or by how much to reduce the lamp power. This allows any number of switching events and/or dimming levels. The CMS also provides other benefits such as fault detection.
