P404 ‘Moving the SAD to a Category 3 BSC Configurable Item’

P404 was Implemented on 25 June 2020 as part of the June 2020 BSC Release.

The Self-Governance Appeal window for P404 closed on 1 May 2020. No appeals were received.

About Releases

A Release is a packet of approved Modifications and Change Proposals which are usually all implemented on the same date (although occasional Releases may have more than one Implementation Date).

Releases allow multiple changes to be implemented at once, gives the industry a degree of certainty around the dates when changes will be implemented and gives Parties and Party Agents sufficient time to plan the changes to their systems and processes which are required to meet the new and amended requirements.

On 9 April 2020, the Panel approved P404 under Self-Governance for implementation on 25 June 2020 as part of the June 2020 BSC Release.

We received one response to the Report Phase Consultation. The respondent agreed with the Panel’s initial view that P404 should be approved.

The P404 Report Phase Consultation was issued 17 March 2020 with responses due 31 March 2020.

The Panel considered the Initial Written Assessment at its meeting on 12 March 2020, where it agreed to:

• raise P404;
• progress P404 directly to the Report Phase; and
• an initial recommendation to approve.
