FAQs when using the Kinnect Customer Solution

Q. How do I add a new Authorised Signatory?
A. visit the “Authorised Signatories” page, which can be found in the top menu
Then just under the “Table of Authorised Signatories” section, you will see a plus (+) icon on the far right of the screen
Select the plus (+) icon and add your contact details
Please note that we are currently only granting access to Category ‘A’ Signatories. Please consider the access rights and permissions being granted to any new users being added.
Q. I’ve been set up as an Authorised Signatory, but I can’t see myself on the system. What should I do?
A. You may have been added as a contact with an Authorised Signatory type, rather than an Authorised Signatory. You also need to be set up as an Authorised Signatory separately. To be added as an Authorised Signatory, an existing Category A Authorised Signatory will need to:
- Go to ‘My Account’
- Access ‘Manage Authorised Signatories’
- Add your contact details and assign Authorisation levels. This can be done by accessing the plus button.
Company records for different roles
Q. Why is my company listed twice when I have to select my company details?
A. If you are a Category A Authorised Signatory for both the Party and Party Agent role, you will see two records for your company. You will have to select each organisation in order to see which record relates to which role.
Q. How do I delete contacts that are set up as Authorised Signatories? I thought I had deleted them previously.
A. Elexon Kinnect Customer Solution shows previous Authorised Signatories as end dated rather than deleting them. The Signatories with no ‘Effective To Date’ are the active ones. If you would like to edit the Authorised persons see ‘How do I add a new Authorised Signatory?‘ question above.
Q. How do I end a contact’s access?
A. To end someone’s access to the Elexon Kinnect Customer Solution visit the “Authorised Signatories” page, which can be found in the top menu.
Locate your colleague’s name under the “Table of Authorised Signatories” section
Select the pencil icon on the right hand side of their name
When on the “Edit Authorised Signatory” page you can add/edit the date in the “To Date” field.
Q. I am an Authorised Signatory for multiple organisations, how do I view the other Parties’ information on the platform?
A. You will only be able to view the Party IDs that you are a Category A Authorised Signatory for.
When you register for Elexon Kinnect Customer Solution there should be a “Select your organiastion” dropdown menu under “My Company details” on the Elexon Kinnect homepage. This is where you can access the different Parties.
