Summary
During the implementation phase of the new BSC Services Agreement under Project Isis, there will be two key technical changes to the High Grade Service and Low Grade Service: Installation and transition to a new CVA Communications Network (affecting existing High Grade Service users); and Transition to a new version of the XSec security encryption software (affecting existing High Grade and Low Grade Service users). The new High Grade Service will be implemented as part of Project Isis. All existing users of the High Grade Service have been contacted by the Project Isis team in order to establish their chosen communication technical specification (as detailed in CP1263 Attachment A)The Communications Requirements Document (CRD) defines the communication requirements between participants and the BSC Central Systems. These need to be amended to reflect the new technical interface requirements as detailed above.
Progression
Elexon raised CP1263 on 18 September 2008. CP1263 was issued for Industry Impact Assessment as part of CPC00644. CP1263 was presented to the ISG on 25 November 2008 and the SVG on 2 December 2008 for a decision on progression. Both the ISG & SVG approved CP1263 for inclusion in the February 2009 Release. CP1263 was implemented on 26 February 2009 as part of the February 2009 Release.
