Summary

BSCP509 was written prior to NETA Go-Live and was primarily based on its predecessor from the days of the Electricity Pool, AP509. Some slight amendments were made when the document was re-badged for NETA Go-Live, however the document remained largely unchanged. It is now thought to be an appropriate time to bring the document in line with current working practices which have been adapted and refined over the course of the last 18 – 20 months. The Supplier Volume Allocation Agent (SVAA) is also keen to ensure that the processes outlined in BSCP509 are aligned more closely with actual working practices. In addition to this, an audit issue was raised by PwC which questioned the ‘Quality of instruction in BSCP509’.
