Summary

Currently, timescales for the majority of Supplier related processes to occur are unspecific in Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) related Balancing and Settlement Code Procedures (BSCPs) since in the past the industry did not believe that this was necessary. During the production of BSCP514, in consultation with industry members, the industry members agreed that the timescales contained within BSCP514 should be better defined. However, this could not be completed under the scope of CP854 ‘Provision of a New Balancing and Settlement Code Procedure (BSCP) covering Meter Operator Agent Processes for Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) Metering Systems’ since there was no mention in CP854 of specifying timescales in any more detail in BSCP514 than in other SVA related BSCPs.
