Summary
The implementation of P197 “SVA Qualification Process Review” in August 2007 introduced two new Authorisation Categories into BSCP38, ZB and ZC. These Categories were initially managed by Elexon, however the implementation of CP1193 “Recommended changes following an operational review of BSCP38” as part of the November 2007 release effected the transfer of responsibility for all BSCP38 Authorisation Categories to the CRA. Authorisation Categories ZB & ZC relate to all Market Participants that are required to comply with BSCP537, which includes SVA Party Agents such as Data Collectors, Data Aggregators and SVA MOAs. The CRA system does not currently store information on SVA Party Agents, so cannot process requests from SVA Party Agents to register Category ZB & ZC Authorised Persons. CP1244 proposes the removal of Authorisation Categories ZB & ZC from BSCP38 and amend BSCP537 and BSCP537 Appendix 1 to remove all references to BSCP38 and to include an amended statement, in BSCP537, on who (Company Director or equivalent) can submit BSCP537 forms to Elexon.

CP1244 was raised on 02 April 2008. CP1244 was issued for participant Impact Assessment on 11 April 2008. CP1244 was presented to the PAB on 21 May 2008 for decision on progression. The PAB approved CP1244 for inclusion in the November 2008 Release. CP1244 was presented to the ISG on 27 May 2008 for decision on progression. The ISG approved CP1244 for inclusion in the November 2008 Release. CP1244 was presented to the SVG on 03 June 2008 for decision on progression. The ISG approved CP1244 for inclusion in the November 2008 Release.
