Summary

P356 will align the BSC with Grid Code Modification GC0099, which seeks to introduce the interconnector scheduled transfer process to the Grid Code. This is in order to establish common, cross-code provisions which are compatible with both the EU single intraday market coupling processes, and GB and EU balancing processes.

 

Progression

P356 was raised by National Grid on 3 July 2017. The Initial Written Assessment was presented to the BSC Panel at its meeting on 13 July 2017.

The first P356-GC0099 joint Workgroup meeting was held on Tuesday 25 July 2017.

The Assessment Procedure Consultation was issued on 9 October 2017 until 27 October 2017.

The second P356-GC0099 joint Workgroup meeting was held at Elexon on Tuesday 7 November 2017.

The Assessment Report was presented to the Panel in February 2018. The Panel approved P356 to move to the Report Phase.

The Report Phase Consultation was issued for 10 WD on 14 February 2018. The Draft Modification Report was presented to the Panel at its meeting on 8 March 2018. the Panel recommended that P356 should be implemented. P356 was approved by the Authority on 14 June 2018.  

P356 was implemented on 1 November 2018 as part of the November 2018 BSC Release.
