Upcoming BSC Change Proposals meeting: March 2023

The next trial ‘Upcoming Change Proposals’ meeting will take place on Thursday 23 March from 14:30 – 16:30.

These public meetings, trialled as a result of Issue 102 ‘BSC Change Process Review’, allow interested industry Parties to feed in to Change Proposals that are likely to be raised in the near future.

Which changes will be discussed at the March meeting?

Change Proposals originating from Issue 93 ‘Review of the BSC metering Codes of Practice’:

  • Clarify the Duplicate communications path requirements in CoPs 1 and 2 (Impact: Suppliers, Meter Operators, Data Collectors)
  • Mandating Calibration checks for Main and Check Meters (Impact: Meter Operators, Technical Assurance Agents, LDSOs, Registrants, Suppliers)
  • Clarifying the error limits for Active Energy for sites operating at low power factors (Impact: CVA Registrants, Suppliers, DSOs, NETSO, Generators, and Meter Operator Agents)

Other Upcoming BSC Change Proposals:

  • Improving the use of the D0215 data flow in the relevant Industry processes (Impacts: LDSO, SVA MOA, and Suppliers)
  • Allowing HHDCs to undergo protocol approval prior to completing qualification (Impact: Half Hourly Data Collectors)
  • To clarify sending of a D0151 is required for all COS NHH loss processes (Impact: Suppliers, Data Collectors)
  • Enabling Embedded LDSOs to calculate and submit Site Specific LLFs as required (Impact: LDSOs)
