COVID-19: Estimation derogations to continue until further notice
Supplier estimation derogations will continue until further notice. The derogations will be reviewed at April’s Performance Assurance Board (PAB) meeting, taking into consideration feedback from the industry.

If you are a Lead Party of a non-Credit Qualifying Balancing Mechanism (BM) Unit you can appeal against an assigned Credit Assessment Load Factor (CALF) values and Holiday CALF values.
Insights: The electricity industry – ten years of change
The 2010s were a period of significant change for both Elexon and the wider industry. The shifts seen during the span of ten years were both unprecedented and unpredicted. Elexon provides a wealth of data to industry via the Balancing Mechanism Reporting Service (BMRS), Elexon Portal and through data flows. Using some of this data we have created four graphs that reflect on significant changes to generation, demand and balancing between 2010 and 2019.
Changes to BSC Performance Standards for Meter Systems in Measurement Classes F and G
Performance Standards for Half Hourly (HH) Metering Systems in Measurement Classes (MC) F and G will increase from 90% of energy settling on actual data at the First Reconciliation Run (R1) to 99% on 1 January 2020.
Wind generation output in December was the highest all year
There is more evidence of the move to a lower carbon electricity system in our latest BSC Operations Headline Report for December 2019 which showed that wind generation produced a monthly total of 5,613 gigawatt hours (GWh) for the GB Market. This was the largest monthly total for wind in 2019.
