This page details information about our digital platform, Elexon Kinnect, which offers a complete and streamlined customer experience around a range of BSC activities.

How it relates to you 

Elexon Kinnect offers online services that enables BSC Parties to carry out tasks and manage accounts online. This includes:

  • Customer Solution, self-service gateway
    • Digitalised Market Entry
    • Asset registration
    • Account management
    • Exiting the market
  • Settlement Solution
  • Insight Solution

When can I start using it? 

We have invited a small number of BSC Parties to trial the Customer Solution self-service gateway in December 2020 and early January 2021. We will be working closely with users of the self-service platform to gather their feedback on the platform and its features.

At the end of January 2021 we will open up the platform to all Category A Authorised Signatories.

Managing your company details 

Elexon Kinnect will offer your organisation a personal online account where you can manage all relevant information and details.

Once registered and logged in, you can manage a range of details, including contacts, addresses and Authorised Signatories.Elexon Kinnect 'My account' dashboard. The dashboard features the following options: Select your organisation, authorised signatories, contacts, addresses, my ascension details and report preferences

  • ‘My Account’ registration/login details will appear here once Elexon Kinnect is ready to use 

Market entry 

This part of Elexon Kinnect will enable you to undertake the necessary steps to enter the energy market.

If you wish to express your interest in joining the market, please complete the expression of interest form and our Market Entry team will be in touch to set you up with self-service gateway access.

The self-service gateway offers guided process routes when registering different market roles.

You will be able accede to the BSC and provide digital forms with access to your market entry and asset registrations data along with a guided process through the various routes you can take when registering different market roles.

When registering a new asset, the self-service gateway will automatically identify the assets available to the specific customer. There is also

  • built-in explanations regarding what is needed to complete tasks
  • on-screen validation when information has been entered correctly
  • guidance notes

  • Market entry registration/login details will appear here once Elexon Kinnect is ready to use (only for registered users)

Initiating market exit 

This part of Elexon Kinnect will enable you to initiate your company’s exit from the market.

Settlement solution

This will offer scalable, flexible and modular Settlement operations. This aspect of Elexon Kinnect will be developed after the Customer Solution aspect has been fully completed. 

Insight solution

This will facilitate receiving, processing and publishing data. This will also allow BSC Parties to gain insights from BSC and BMRS data. This aspect of Elexon Kinnect will be developed after the Customer Solution aspect has been fully completed.
